I wished we were together somewhere, having a drink… we’d talk about everything and nothing. You’d make me laugh and smile and protect me while I’d turn all stupid around you.
We’d claim that the weather was too cold, how much we froze. We’d blaspheme about others and realize how different we are.
You’d tell a nice story or two and while you’d speak I’d get lost in your eyes. And when you asked me a question I’d have to ask for it again because I would have been distracted by the thought of how amazing you are.
And then we’d say goodbye and I’d hug you tight, and it would hurt when I’d let go…
And then I’d replay the memories in my head over and over again. And smile. And one day… one day you might realize how much more I like you.
